How Sentricon® Always Active Works
Secure stations containing Sentricon’s proprietary bait are placed in the soil every ten feet around the foundation to establish a protective perimeter.
Installation
Subterranean termites forage in search of food, including cellulose found in wood. When they encounter the Sentricon bait stations, they perceive them as a food source.
Termite Discovery
Termites feed on the Always Active bait and then share it with other members of their colony through a process called trophallaxis, spreading the active ingredient throughout the colony.
Feeding and Sharing
The active ingredient in the bait disrupts their molting process, leading to colony elimination within 60-90 days.
Colony Elimination
Even after the initial colony is eliminated, the Sentricon® Always Active system continues to provide continuous protection by attracting and eliminating new termite colonies that may try to invade your property.
